Description
The Volunteer Center of Story County was founded in 1982 and has been connecting volunteers to service opportunities with over 200 partner agencies in Story County ever since.  VCSC averages 2,800 volunteer referrals per year, posts an average of 90 volunteer opportunities per month, and had a $3 million impact in the community in the 2018-19 academic year.

OUR MISSION:  We build strong community by inspiring, educating, and mobilizing volunteers to address community needs in Story County.
  • To accomplish our mission, we:
    • Connect volunteers with volunteer opportunities throughout Story County.
    • Promote volunteering and community involvement.
    • Recognize volunteers.
    • Educate volunteer leaders.
